Bibtastic

Evie and I have been enjoying the hot weather; a fine excuse to don pretty frocks everyday. But we are also into statement bibs right now. The most eye-catching we have found are by south-east London based baby fashion label Olive & Moss, owned by ex-Monsoon designer Nina Govan. The bold animal designs had Evie and mama chuckling. We particularly love Michael the Monkey, Tarquin the Tiger, Perry the Panda and brand new for this summer, Margot and Mo the mouse. Bibs, £11.

Moccis

Sweet feet
Could missing socks be a thing of the past? London-based, Swedish-born Anna Wetterlin might have come up with the answer. After giving birth to her daughter Lea, she realised British women hadn't cottoned onto the Swedish trend for moccasins for their little ones. She decided to put her design background to good use and created Moccis, a range of mini moccs in cute collectible prints. They are all made in Sweden from supple eco-materials and miraculously they are machine-washable. Hurrah! No need for socks, you simply slip them on - perfect for home and nursery.

Get your frocks on, baby!

Working from her Camden studio, Katy Horwood has been designing retro-style frocks for women for the past decade. A few months ago she decided little ones should be equally well-dressed and launched 'Love You Long Time' for babies. All items - including chi chi dresses, jumpsuits and T-shirts - are lovingly handmade and feature Horwood's signature bows, buttons and trims. J'adore! Dresses from £30, jumpsuits £40.

Tiny beach feet

Evie and I spotted our cutest find for sometime over the weekend in Jimmy's Shoes, Essex Road - some baby-sized Havaianas flip-flops. Starting in a teeny-weeny size 2 (to fit 6 month-one year olds), the flip flops arrive in white, pink, pale blue and navy blue. Sadly my cherubic babe's feet were just too chubby to squeeze into the Havaianas (mwah!) but happily we found similar styles in Gap. Evie went for the yellow; it's currently her favourite shade. Now we just need a beach. Roll on our holiday to Turkey next week...

C'est le weekend!

If the sunny weather continues, and you find yourselves making a trip to Columbia Road flower market for a spot of shopping and light lunch tomorrow be sure to pop into Bob and Blossom. Evie and I love this shop for its cute slogan T-shirts, quirky retro toys and sweet selection of other brands. Tip: take a papoose or baby sling - it gets busy down there. Happy weekend!
Bob & Blossom, 140 Columbia Road, London E2 7RG (020 7 739 4737) Open Sun 9am-3pm.

Little miss sunshine

The sun is making an appearance, for today at least, so it's time to protect baby's skin. Avoid nasty chemical-laden sunscreens and go for a natural one. My favourite is by organic brand Erbaviva. The SPF 15 protects baby's body and face and I can borrow it too. I also love Erbaviva's organic lip and cheek balm, £7.50 in a handy stick it contains nourishing shea butter, calendula and chamomile, it's great for softened dry skin. Available at Lovelula.com and (stockists 020 7228 2772). Enjoy the sun, babies!

All change!

The hunt for the perfect changing bag may be over. Anorak, the delightful British brand specialising in stylish travel, garden and outdoor gear, has a chic but highly practical range featuring kissing animals. The bold, graphic designs are refreshingly gender neutral so dad's won't be embarrassed to be seen with them, either. Designed by the company's founder, Royal College of Art trained Laurie Robertson, who was inspired by childhood camping trips, the bags are the perfect size - holding nappies and bottles neatly. And each one arrives with the all-important changing mat. Nappy changing just got a whole lot more fun.
