Easter ideas: Donna Wilson eggs

Bored of the same old branded Easter eggs? Check out Donna Wilson's delicious designs for Rococo chocolate, from £9.95. The award-winning London-based designer (a long time favourite of CLB's) has applied her whimsical sensibilites to choccie eggs. Yummy! The only problem is that they look far too pretty to eat. The solution? Give them along with one of her cute and highly collectible egg cups, £11.20. At Donna Wilson.

CLB ♥ Poco Nido pre-walkers

Ever noticed how there's only a couple of pre-walker shoe brands around? CLB was happy to set eyes on new label Poco Nido's bold designs. Founded by well-established footwear designer Catherine Lobley, the Sheffield based brand provides cotton pre-walkers in unisex designs (big tick) featuring stylised monsters, birds and flowers. Each pair has suede soles and concealed elastic for a nice snug fit (sizes 0-6 months, 6-12 and 12-18). We're not surprised that one of our favourite kids shops, Olive Loves Alfie has recently snapped them up. £16 at Poconido.com (free postage and packing until the end of April) and Olivelovesalfie.co.uk

Rosie Flo's ABC Colouring Book GIVEAWAY!

CLB has long admired the whimsical Rosie Flo colouring-in books which launched back in 2005. Now, the much-loved publishing company - which has sold over 360,000 books to date - has launched a delightful ABC Colouring Book aimed at a younger child (from three). We love the fact each image has a hidden letter for your little one to find. Learning your ABC has never been so elegant and fun. What's more Chic Little Baby is giving the first five readers to leave a comment a free copy of the newly published book worth £4.99 at www.rosieflo.co.uk

CLB ♥ Tootsa MacGinty unisex kidswear

Why is it so many fashion brands still adhere to the khaki is for boys, pink is for girls rule? Tootsa MacGinty is a bold and bright unisex label for kids with a new non-gender specific approach. Recently launched by ex-Tommy Hilfiger designer, Kate Pietrasik, the range includes cool animal motif sweaters, rainbow stripey tops and dungarees (OK, there are just a few frocks for the girls but they are NOT pink or frilly). The colour palette of grass green, tomato red and indigo with the odd splash of lemon yellow should genuinely appeal to both sexes. Excellent news for parents to boys and girls then. And truly not a hint of pastel pink princess in sight, we promise. Prices range from £21 for sweat pants at Tootsa MacGinty

Indigo sweat pants, £21

froggy sweater, £27
Peace sweat shirt, £25

CLB ♥ Light Up Your Mood switch stickers

Here's a cheap and novel interiors tip for New Year: transform a boring old white light switch with these fun stickers. Available in three designs: animals, girls or boys, each pack contains four sheets of peel-off vinyl stickers (including lots of eyes, noses and mouths), enough for eight characters. Helpfully, the stickers peel off easily, so they can be changed without leaving any pesky residue. Hours of fun! £6.50 at Molly Meg.

    Happy New Year!

Evie's new room. Wallpaper by Harlequin, chest of drawers by IKEA
Well hello again. It's been a while. I'm sorry, I have missed you all terribly too. We finally moved into our new house after three months of renovations (thank you to Ed, our brilliant builder, here is his website). Moving in, unpacking and settling the girls along with the husband and cats was a bigger job than I ever imagined. But now it's done. PHEEEEEEEEEEW! The house is looking great and we are finally really enjoying the space and fact that everything pretty much is as we want it. On the downside our pockets are painfully empty and we have both aged ludicrously (I swear I have about five new wrinkles) but all in all it has been worth every second. I will be posting before and afters of the new house, with particular emphasis on the children's rooms (sneak peek of Evie's room below) over the forthcoming weeks. I have lots of great content coming up: incredible new products, inspiring websites and cool apps. A big thanks to all those who have been keeping me updated. As for the little ones, fun-loving Evie is enjoying running around her new house and darling little Lola, now approaching six months, has been taking her first tentative mouthfuls of food. Nothing cuter than those first facial expressions when they first taste a new flavour. Me? Officially exhausted but relieved we are now ensconced in the new place and very happy to be back in blogland. Thank you for reading. Here's to a happy, healthy and stress-free 2012. Love CLB xxx
